Oral Repair-4™ Program (28 Days)
A doctor-formulated, 28-day clinical protocol to eradicate oral pathogens and rebuild your oral microbiome. Two sequential phases — eradication then rebuild — drawn from 30 years of clinical practice in oral and gut microbiome health.
Your mouth is the gateway to your whole body.
Halitosis. Bleeding gums. Mouth ulcers. Recurrent oral thrush. The same patients keep returning to their dentists with the same complaints — and the same advice. Brush more. Floss harder. Swish harder.
Standard advice misses the root cause. Oral dysbiosis is an overgrowth of pathogenic bacteria — Porphyromonas gingivalis, Fusobacterium nucleatum, Streptococcus mutans, Candida albicans — that produce volatile sulphur compounds, drive periodontitis, and translocate through your gut barrier to fuel systemic inflammation.
Research links oral pathogens to cardiovascular disease, diabetes, inflammatory bowel disease, and even neurodegenerative conditions. Your mouth is the gateway. It is also the place to start.
Two phases. Twenty-eight days.
Pathogen Eradication
Chlorhexidine 0.20% rinse · Propolis extract
Gold-standard antimicrobial activity against P. gingivalis, S. mutans, F. nucleatum, and Candida albicans. Propolis flavonoids penetrate and destabilise the biofilm scaffolds that shield pathogenic bacteria. Both alcohol-free.
Phase 1 — suppress pathogenic dominance and crack open protective biofilms.
Immune Reinforcement
Andrographis · Vit C · Vit D3 · Zinc · EGCG
Five synergistic ingredients supporting natural killer cell activity through the eradication window. Pathogen die-off places real demand on host immunity — this supports the response.
Phase 1 — reinforce host defence during the antimicrobial phase.
Systemic Rebuild
500 billion CFU multi-strain synbiotic
Seven human-origin probiotic strains across Bifidobacterium, Lactobacillus, and Bacillus genera, paired with prebiotic substrates (GOS, inulin) and a postbiotic L. paracasei strain. Swished through the mouth before swallowing to seed both oral and gut microbiota via the oral-gut axis.
Phase 2 — restore microbial diversity systemically.
Oral Recolonisation
8 billion CFU per lozenge · Weissella cibaria CMU
Slow-dissolve lozenge prolongs mucosal contact. The W. cibaria CMU strain has demonstrated a 5-log reduction in F. nucleatum and significant reductions in volatile sulphur compounds across two RCTs.
Phase 2 — recolonise the mouth with protective species.
Backed by the oral-gut axis.
From dysbiosis to lasting microbial health.
Diagnostic test + Microbiome Doctor consult.
Take your oral microbiome test (and gut test if recommended). A Microbiome Doctor reviews your results, personalises the protocol, and — where indicated — prescribes a targeted antibiotic gel for periodontal pockets.
Phase 1 — Eradication.
Antimicrobial chlorhexidine rinse and propolis biofilm-disruptor suppress pathogens. Immune support reinforces host defence. Most patients notice mild Herxheimer symptoms (taste change, mild fatigue) in the first 7-10 days — a sign the protocol is working.
Phase 2 — Rebuild.
500 billion CFU synbiotic seeds gut microbial diversity via the oral-gut axis. Oral probiotic lozenges (W. cibaria CMU) recolonise the mouth twice daily with protective species. This is where most patients report fresher breath, healthier gums, and improved digestion.
Maintain.
Transition to Oral Maintain — a once-daily probiotic lozenge — for a minimum of 6 months. Probiotic strains decline to pre-supplementation levels within 7-10 days of cessation, which is why daily maintenance is non-negotiable for lasting results.
Re-test your microbiome.
Repeat your oral microbiome test (and gut test if originally performed) to objectively validate diversity gains, confirm pathogen reduction, and decide whether continued intervention is needed.
Questions, answered.
Who is this protocol for?
Adults experiencing oral microbiome symptoms — halitosis, bleeding or inflamed gums, recurrent mouth ulcers, oral thrush — or with a diagnosis of gingivitis or early periodontitis. Also appropriate for patients with reflux and digestive complaints where an oral-gut axis component is suspected.
If you've tried standard dental and dietary advice without lasting results, this protocol is built for you.
Do I need a Microbiome Doctor consult before starting?
Strongly recommended. A consult provides three things: a personalised review of your oral microbiome test, a protocol calibrated to your specific findings, and — where indicated — a prescription for targeted antibiotic gel (Minocycline and/or Metronidazole) applied along the gum line for direct delivery to periodontal pockets.
The program is designed to be used alongside this clinical oversight rather than as a self-administered alternative to it.
Will I feel worse before I feel better?
Possibly, yes. As pathogenic bacteria are eradicated in Phase 1, die-off (the Herxheimer reaction) can release endotoxins. This may produce temporary mouth sensitivity, mild taste changes, headaches, fatigue, or transient mood changes — typically in the first 7-10 days.
This is a positive sign that your microbiome is shifting. If symptoms persist beyond 10 days, are severe, or you experience any concerning reaction, contact the clinic.
Can I take this with my existing medications?
Generally yes — but you should always inform your treating practitioner before starting any new supplement. This is particularly important if you take immunosuppressants, prescription antibiotics, antiplatelet medication, or thyroid medication. The Microbiome Doctor consult covers medication interactions as part of personalisation.
Can I take this if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
Please consult your treating doctor before starting. Several components — including chlorhexidine and concentrated propolis — carry pregnancy advisories and may not be appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
How long until I see results?
Most patients notice changes within 2-4 weeks — fresher breath, reduced gum tenderness, fewer mouth ulcers, improved digestion. Full microbiome rebalancing requires the complete 28-day program plus a minimum of 6 months on the maintenance protocol.
Re-test your oral microbiome at the 6-month mark to objectively assess your progress against baseline.
Do any of the supplements need refrigeration?
No. The Phase 2 synbiotic uses a patented shelf-stable lyophilisation technology. The oral probiotic uses a stabilised vial format that maintains potency at room temperature. The mouth rinse, propolis, and immune blend are all shelf-stable at room temperature. This makes daily compliance much easier.
What happens after the 28 days?
Day 29 isn't the finish line. Research shows supplemented probiotic strains decline to pre-supplementation levels within 7-14 days of cessation, so maintenance is essential.
To protect your gains, transition to Oral Maintain (a daily probiotic lozenge, 6 months minimum) and continue the OralBiome Diet principles. Dr Froomes also recommends extending the 500 billion CFU synbiotic for an additional 4-12 weeks for deeper, more sustained recovery — particularly for patients with long-standing dysbiosis.

Always consult your treating practitioner before starting any new supplement, particularly if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, immunocompromised, or taking prescription medications.
Products containing propolis are derived from bees — avoid if you have a known bee allergy. Some Phase 2 components are manufactured in facilities that process milk and soy — review allergen labels before use. The prescribed antibiotic gel (if applicable) is dispensed by a separate pharmacy on the prescription of your Microbiome Doctor.
